Stereo cameras generate point cloud data based on parallax information derived from left and right camera images. While applying AI inference to stereo camera based point clouds can enhance recognition performance, the large volume of data and computational requirements demand high processing power from the SoC.
By combining AI technology with stereo camera recognition using a jointly customized SoC, we can achieve highly accurate object detection and road environment discrimination, thereby improving preventative safety technology. Using this technology, we are developing a next-generation advanced driver assistance system that provides even greater peace of mind and enjoyment.
